'CASTLE' NOTED IN KINGSWOOD (BI1). NO TRACE OF CASTLE FOUND, BUT THERE IS A BANK WITH TRACES OF DITCH & A DEEP HOLLOWAY. BANK WAS PROBABLY WOOD BOUNDARY, WITH A CHANNEL ALLOWING ACCESS TO A POND, BUT NOT THE WOOD.S EVERAL SAW PITS VISIBLE IN VICINITY. SURVEY OF EARTHWORKS & SAW PITS & ANNOT.1:2500 MAP (BI2)
