Description

Probable eighteenth to nineteenth century milestone on A4010 in Stoke Mandeville village outside 16 Station Road. On Milestones Society website as present in 2002 on Wycombe to Aylesbury route National ID number BU_WYAY14. 35cm wide 22cm deep 79cm high on east side of road.' On domestic grass verge'. Arrow heads for direction of travel. Inscription in black paint : front : AYLESBURY { } 2 3/4 2 1/2 { } : WYCOMBE 14 { } . Not recorded on current OS map but present on 1st edition 1:2500 inch.
