Description

BOURTON HOUSE DAMAGED, ITS DOVECOTE RAIDED ETC, BY PARLIAMENTARY TROOPS, 18 AUGUST 1642. HOUSE DILAPIDATED IN 1755 (B1). ?C18 MAP (COPY CAS FILE) SUGGESTS HOUSE ONCE STOOD ON N SIDE OF BUCKINGHAM-BLETCHLEY ROAD (AT NGR)(B8-9;SEE CAS CARD FOR DETAILS). INVESTIGATION IN JULY 1980 FOUND NO TRACE OF HOUSE (B13).
