Description

Fragment of Copper Alloy decorated with two female heads. (B3) Detail in the headdresses to suggest that they show the crespine or hairnet and the fillett or headband which were fashionable through the Fourteenth Century. Form part of a decorative fitting from a casket (B1). Similar example from Lower Brook Street, Winchester (B2). Photograph's filed at SMR CAS 2323.
