TERRIER OCT 1607: 'THE VICARIDGE HOUSE BUILT OF TIMBER & THATCHT, CONSISTING OF 3 BAYS CHAMBERED OVER & BOARDED; A BARN OF 2 BAYS THATCHD' (B1).
THE OLD VICARAGE DATES FROM THE C16 & IS NOW DIVIDED INTO 2 TENEMENTS (B2).
PROBABLY LATE C16. IN FRONT & AT THE BACK SOME OF THE BRICK IS ORIGINAL & SET IN HERRING-BONE PATTERN. WALL AT W END IS PARTLY OF STONE. [FURTHER DESCRIPTION] (B3 ). AT NGR (B5). (LATER VICARAGE AT SP7204 3098).
GRADE II. HOUSE, NOW PAIR OF COTTAGES. C17. TIMBER FRAMED WITH WHITEWASHED BRICK INFILL, SOME HERRINGBONE. WHITEWASHED RUBBLE STONE AND BRICK TO LEFT GABLE. THATCH ROOF, BRICK STACKS TO RIGHT GABLE AND BETWEEN LEFT-HAND BAYS. ONE-AND-A-HALF STOREYS, THREE BAYS. C19 3-LIGHT CASEMENTS TO LEFT-HAND BAY AND WINDOWS IN THATCH, PAIRED BARRED CASEMENTS TO GROUND FLOOR RIGHT-HAND BAYS. BOARD DOORS TO LEFT AND LEFT OF CENTRE, THE LATTER WITH SINGLE CASEMENT ADJOINING TO LEFT (B4).
