MOUND, WITH CIRCULAR, SHALLOW SURROUNDING DITCH. MOUND TOP 10M DIAM WITH CENTRAL DEPRESSION. TOO SMALL FOR MOTTE: SIZE, ITS RAMPS & LOCAL NAMES 'PALE MILL FIELD', 'GREAT MILL FIELD' SUGGEST WINDMILL SITE. DATE ? (SEE 01); NB 'MILLER END' 1481. MOUND OLDER THAN DRIVE TO HOUSE, C.1536. FOUND BY R HORN. SURVEYED (B1).
