POSS OCCUPATION HORIZON RECORDED A LITTLE ABOVE NAT CHALK. DEPOSIT IN CONJUNCTION WITH FINDS AT HERON COTTAGE ETC UPSTREAM SUGGEST THE AREA OF THE STREAM TO CHURCH & MANOR WAS THE PRINCIPAL MEDIEVAL OCCUPATION ZONE OF THE VILLAGE(BI1).
