Description

CHANTRY ORIGINALLY FOUNDED BY JOHN CHASTILON, 1344. EVIDENTLY FELL INTO DECAY, FOR JOHN BARTON BUILT IT ANEW & WAS BURIED THERE, 1433. ROYAL LICENCE (FOR CHANTRY?) WAS OBTAINED BY ROBERT INGLETON ON BEHALF OF BARTON'S WIDOW IN 1468 (B4).
