Description
DESTROYED IN CIVIL WAR. SAID TO HAVE CONSISTED OF NAVE, CHANCEL & SQUARE TOWER. PARTLY STANDING IN 1681. IN 1730 LEAVE GIVEN TO DEMOLISH (B1).
STONE ON HOGSHAW FARM PROB FROM CHURCH (B5).
SITE ONLY APPROX KNOWN. FOUNDATIONS DUG UP FOR ROAD METAL. LAST BURIAL 1683 (B6).
IN USE TILL 1650 (B9).
Dressed limestone blocks built into the lower courses of a post-medieval ox barn may be re-used from the church or other preceptory buildings, but a watching brief carried out during groundworks for conversion of the barn failed to identify any archaeological evidence for earlier buildings (B13).
