Plan Form - SEMICIRCULAR
HOMESTEAD MOAT MUCH ALTERED & DENUDED (4). AT S END OF VILLAGE COMPLEX IS A WATER FILLED HOMESTEAD MOAT (7). HEAVILY OVERGROWN BUT WITH DEEP DITCH. SURROUNDING INTERIOR PLATFORM 1-1.5M ABOVE DITCH BOTTOM. ENTRANCE APPEARS TO BE NW (8). MAP OF 1803 SHOWS MOAT WITH BUILDINGS INSIDE & OUT (4).
Archaeological watching brief carried out during building in modern farmyard to the south revealed no archaelogical features (12)
